A Podchaser alternative for podcast sponsor data
Podchaser is a podcast database first: millions of shows, audience estimates, charts and contacts for reaching podcasters. Its sponsor data is one feature among many, built for brands and agencies deciding where to advertise. If you host a show and want to know who sponsors shows like yours, this page compares that one feature with SponsorBoard.
Looking for a Podchaser alternative for something else — podcast contacts, audience data, guest booking? SponsorBoard does not do those. Google’s own search suggestions pair Podchaser with Rephonic; start there.

Three checks to run before you choose
- Is your corner of podcasting covered at all? Podchaser’s sponsor data follows the top 5,000 podcasts by its own Power Score. Look up three shows in your trade. If they are not top-5,000 shows, their sponsors will not be in that data, however good it is. On SponsorBoard, start from the board for your trade.
- Does each brand appear once? If you plan to add up a brand’s activity, check for spelling variants.
What we found: on October 9, 2026, Podchaser’s public Top 30 listed both Quince (#7, 530 episodes) and quints.com (#13, 439 episodes), and both Mint Mobile (#9, 1,161 episodes) and minmobile.com (#18, 602 episodes). The list updates daily, so today’s may differ. Run the same check on our A–Z list. - How far back can you look? Whether a sponsor came back to a show is the most useful thing a host can learn about it, and that takes more than a month of history.
What we found: Podchaser’s public sponsor ranking covers the last 30 days; its Pro plan adds per-show sponsor history with “number of episodes and spend ranges” and does not state a window. On SponsorBoard, the Mint Mobile page lists 53 shows with first and last dates, going back to 2019, free.
One more, if you are comparing on size: Podchaser’s homepage offers “spend estimates for 15k sponsors”, and its Pro features page says it “tracks 4,100+ brands across the top 5,000+ podcasts”. Ask which figure applies to the plan you would buy.
When Podchaser is the better choice
- You are a brand or agency choosing where to advertise, and you want spend estimates, audience demographics and ad rate estimates in one place.
- You need contacts for podcasts — hosts, producers, networks.
- You care about the biggest shows, including ads that are only spoken. A show that never names its sponsors outside the audio looks empty on SponsorBoard.
- You want a general podcast database, not only sponsor data.
When SponsorBoard fits better
- You host a show in a specific trade. Our boards group shows by the companies that pay them, so you see the buyers in your corner rather than the biggest spenders overall. Find your trade →
- You want to see who stayed. First and last dates on every show, free, so a sponsor that keeps coming back is visible at a glance.
- You want to check before you pitch. Every record leads to a dated episode you can open. How to check a sponsorship in five minutes →
